Hello New Cockapoo Owner in St Albans

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post. Our family is very excited by the arrival of Mable our 8 week old cockapoo. She's been with us nearly a week and has been an absolute sweetheart.

Looking forward to finding out about local meet-ups in Hertfordshire when we are ready to go after injections are all complete.

Thank you for all the replies.

We are first time dog owners so it's all a bit daunting. Timing for Mable coming home was great right at beginning of the school holidays (daughter is 6, son is 11) and husband is a teacher so she has lots of (probably too much!) attention. Toilet training is a bit hot-and-miss but she is sleeping well at night in her crate with only one wake up. She's loving toys and stealing socks off the clothes horse. We are also taking her on holiday (in her doggy backpack bought off ebay until injections complete!).

It's only been a week but it seems like she has always lived here !

Look forward to meeting up with some local owners and their lovely doggies soon. Your photos are all great.

I'm in St Albans too and obviously walk in lots of different parts of St Albans, Verulam Park, Clarence Park, Greenwood Park, Heartwood Forest.

I'm just posting about a meet for mid August for anyone who is around.

Mable is from Willowulf Cockerpoos in Wyboston in Bedfordshire from a lovely lady called Jackie. We found the advert on pre-loved.

Hello and :welcome: to you and Mable. I'm in Harpenden so not far from you. There's quite a few of us around the St Albans area. It seems to be a Cockapoo hotspot! Would be happy to meet for a walk to help socialise Mable when you are ready. I'm a regular at Heartwood Forest and Nomansland at the moment.
