Hi everyone, this is my first post although I have been reading almost every single post on here! I've learnt so much from you , thank you everyone! We've got a little girl , her name is Cookie and she's 11 weeks old. We are doing well with toilet training , only odd accidents (average 1 a day). She sleeps through all night and dry all night apart from last night, she wet and soiled her bed! I was cleaning her crate and changing her bedding at 6am this morning, what a joy! :mad:We (me and two kids, hubby stay in bed a bit longer) don't normally get up till 7:45 before we had her, can't believe how much she changed our life in 3 weeks! (mainly my life!)
I've got a question about feeding, Cookie is on BH, I give her 35g-40g per meal and 3 meals a day. She scoffs down in seconds and still looking for more, I'm not sure I'm feeding her enough? I would like to give her more but dont want her to get fat, what do you think? She weighs 3.6kg last week.

She looks absolutely gorgeous, such a little cutie. My Eddie is now 9 months old but he was a little puppy on BH I used to feed him 4 times a day 35 grams each meal, then when he was 4 months old he went to 3 meals a day and at 7 months old 2 meals a day. Hope this helps you.Welcome to the forum

She's lovely, I fed four times a day to start. I'd check the amounts on the bag if youre at the bottom of a range you can always move up . Maybe feed from an old dinner plate and spread it around maybe she's just eating it too fast, this will slow her down x

Thanks ladies! I bought her the anti gulp bowl from PAH, she still eats like there's no tomorrow!! Maybe I can increase it to 45g per meal, that's 135g per day, then see how it goes. Sometimes her tummy sticking out on both sides, plus she's got thick coat makes her look fat :D

Thank you Amanda and Clare! As sweet as she looks, sometimes she can be a nightmare! She went to garden to dig today ( first time, never digged before), came back with two black paws and a black mouth full of dirt! :) I scooped her up put her straight into the bath which she hates. While she was trying to climb out the bath the muddy water splashed everywhere , normally at this point I would be stressed out and get cross, but I didn't! I think it's her innocent face made me forgive her straight away, as if she was saying " what mum? What have I done?":D

Yes Cat , that's a good idea, I can chop up some carrots to put in with her BH. I do give her carrots and apples in between meals, she's constantly hungry, maybe that's normal?

:welcome: Since you have already been visiting, you know this is a great help with puppy stage!! Everyone helped me through lots of teary days!! Carley is 6 months and Sami 1 yr. and both have very hardy appetites! They both still scoff food, even when fed apart . . so I sorta gave up on that as it seems I tried everything to slow them down! Cookie sounds quite normal so I would just offer a little more or go to 4 feedings per day, whichever works for you. She is just gorgeous, her coat is already lovely and will even become fuller and more beautiful as time passes. What a little doll!

I can't remember how much exactly but I know I fed Dudley quite a lot more than they recommended, its only now at nearly 10 months that he is on what the bag recommends.
She is certainly a lovely pup, have fun with her.

Thank you Nanci! I think I will give her a little bit more then stick to it for a while and give her heathy snacks in between . I've been very mean on treats, most time just give her BH kibble and tiny pieces of cheese when I do clicker training with her. Now I'm doing research on chews, she's gone off on rice bone and veggie chews, not that interested on stag bar, think they are too hard. I understand that rawhide is a no go, how about flavoured nylabones? Lots of people say they are ok as long as replace them when they are broken? What do you think?
