Well this is Piper running around in our back yard. We definitely need training classes... :eek: Have her signed up for some puppy classes Sep. 22. Think she is getting the hang of her name. She is either going at 150% or dead stop. And she does not like her crate at least during the day and not found of it at night. But this is her first full day and will be her second night here.

Yes she is glued to us. Everywhere we go she has to go, either with Ken or I. Which can be hazardous to puppy health. Now we have to start looking out for Piper... Hubby is now calling us walking "the puppy shuffle". As we don't want to step on her.. She is only about 3.9 pounds.. Weight her on our scale. Although it probably was not a good weight. As she was moving around alot.

I hope so. She is napping now, but don't plan on letting her sleep anymore tonight.. Think I will keep her up playing.... So she will be tried and sleep better in the crate tonight.

She is so very cute. Looks just like my mom's dog.
Willow hated the crate. I found the secret to getting her to stay in it at night was to make her nap in it during the day. As soon as she seemed tired I would put her in. I kept it up on the table so she could see me. She really resisted at first but gave in after a day of being very firm.

Yea want let her get to tired. I did let her walk around the yard to get use to the sounds and texture of the ground. So I think over time she will start to calm down. Also have her already schedule for puppy classes Sep. 22. for 6 weeks at Petsmart. Then plan on putting through Canine Good Citizen Program. Have to see what that costs...

LOL I noticed the star too, but decided to focus on the little white tip on Piper's tail :)
How big were her parents?
