Hi x
I moved Barney onto Barking Heads a week ago x He prefers it to the Hills Science Plan but is still really picky with it and just sniffs and walks away x I went "cold turkey" on him the other day and left it down for 10 mins then moved it away x He refused to eat all day and I gave in at teatime and mixed in a bit of paste. I did it just so I knew he had somthing inside him x I honestly dont think he would eat if I left it for days x
I now dont know what to do x Do I change yet again to another dry food or would it be a good idea to get a good quality wet food to mix in with it x Is that ok to do ? If its OK then can anybody recommend a good wet food. The frozen food option would not be great for me as we have a caravan in Wales which we go to most weekends and only have a small freezer section and all the travelling ect would make frozen food a bit of a pain to be honest x Just want my "little food monster" back who used to jump like a little lamb when he heard the beep of the scales when I weighed out his food !!!
Any advice would be really helpful
Thanks xx

Hi Helen
Benji never really enjoyed dried food, even if we added water. We changed him a couple of months ago to Nature's diet and he now wolfs it down. We buy it from Pets At Home. It comes in trays and has quite a long shelf life. I've just started mixing it half and half with Barking Heads, otherwise it's quite pricey. Makes good firm poos too!

Maisie is on barking heads. She likes the chicken or the fusspot one but refuses the lamb one. Tried her with bit of natures diet in too and she wolfed it down. Since discovered that Maisie only eats when she's hungry She can leAve breakfast but will clear her bowl for tea :)

My Izzie has always been very picky, but we changed her to 'Hi-Life' food ages ago (it's a moist one, so it's still hard food but a bit softer if that makes sense haha) and she actually does eat some, although we do just leave it down all day because otherwise I don't think she'd bother, she just goes to her bowl when she's hungry now and Poppy loves the food haha, we buy it from Asda or Wilkinsons.

Hattie came to me on James Wellbeloved but once the competative scenario was removed she was not really interested. She now has Natures Harvest with some fresh chicken as a garnish! Minton is on Pro Plan Puppy would like them both on the same will be interesting to see how competition works at mealtimes!
