Isaac comes home tomorrow, I'm not sure if I'm ready now! What do I need to do last min? I've read jojos puppy proofing blog but I've got a 8month old baby so the house is seriously puppy/baby proof!! So shall I get everything out and put it in its place and get ready, maybe I should also tell the cat...
Why should I do with him on his first day at home?
Woooo so excited.

Lucky you! How exciting :D I really wouldn't stress out, honestly it's not as scary as you are thinking right now haha, just chill out :) Isaac will probably sleep most of the day anyway so you'll wonder what you were so worried about ;)
My Poppy can't come home until wednesday :( So unfortunately can't be updating at the exact same time like we thought, but I still want updates :D & when Poppy does come home we can still compare haha :) How old is little Isaac now? You don't have an age ticker yet :) x

I was really nervous too! We have had boo for 6 days now and we are doing well! The toilet training is the trickiest bit, and it is tiring, but you are already on the go with your baby so you are definetly in the right frame of mind!! Just spend lots of time showing him round and cuddling him so that he can settle in :) be sure to lay down the rules from the beginning, we have done that with Boo and she is already learning... Such as she is learning to wait until i go through the door first so she doesmt learn to barge and now 90% of the time she waits until i tell her 'ok' you might find that quite useful with a baby, as you dont want baby to get knocked down by an excited 'bigger' dog!! Honestly, dont worry it will be fine, you will love every minute! Just the same as being a mummy! Xxx

Oh right, yes he's just a few days younger than my Poppy then :) She was 7 weeks on wednesday, we're not allowed to get her until 8 weeks though because licensed breeders aren't allowed to let them go early unfortunately for me haha... But can't wait :D
We can definitely still update together when my baby gets here :) There's no cockapoos round me either, but don't worry, little Isaac will do absolutely fine :D
Enjoy your pup! Lucky you :D I'm jealous! Haha x

You're very lucky haha :) We have an hour and a half to travel each way, but the reason is only because they have recently this past 6 months become licesned breeders, so when we got Izzie they weren't & we got to bring her home just over 7 weeks, but it's a rule for licensed breeders who do it more as a career than a hobby and are noticed as this, they could get in trouble if they let pups go any earlier than 8 weeks, so I just hope this week goes really quick!
I'm missing a university lecture to go & get her though when she can leave haha, will have to catch up with the slides online instead as a one off :D x

Yay puppies! I'm on maternity leave till January so puppy will have 24/7 attention so hopefully him being a little younger won't matter so much :)
Can't wait to see all the photos of the new puppies in their new homes!

Oh that's good then! He gets full attention for a while :) I'm sure it will be fine that he is coming home early, all I would say is that maybe you should meet up with any friends that you know what have dogs if you know they are fully vaccinated in someones house so that your pup still gets that socialisation time as it is missing out on a week with it siblings & will need to meet other dogs to make sure it isn't missing out :) If you know any of course? When Izzie first came home we let her socialise with a friends dog (although she isn't very good with other dogs as she had been attacked twice by a JRT :/ but she just sat and watched her haha) & it meant she was getting that experience of other dogs :) Then she got to meet another friends dog (a beagle - who was very lively at the time as a pup!) But has calmed down a lot now :)
Good luck! I really want pictures to keep me busy Laura :) x

Hi Laura, I am so pleased it has all worked out. Can you ask your breeder to give the ILMC web address to the other new mummies she has? Or your contact details? Then we might be able to increase the SW group on here and arrange our walk when the puppies are old enough xx
