how often does he go to the groomers. i love the les puches. matt zapper brush. also a good slicker brush a comb with wide teeth and fine teeth, also you can cut the matt fLowing the hair line ie if the matt is on his side as his ribs cut down thrugh the matt the way the hair would fall. that brakes tge matt in 2 alowing the brush to get into the matt.

Is it when the dogs get older that mats start?? I have only brushed Lady 3-5 times since we got her...she is almost 6 months old....and she has never even had a little knot let alone a mat....or does it just depend on the coat of that dog??

its normaly around the 8 month old mark the the grooming realy needs to start, it will feel like the mats have come out from nowhere. delta doesnt realy need much brushing just, but give it 2 or three months and i will start to notis the differentce.

Thank you, it's on Thursday. I'll take before and afters, but be prepared for a short one - it may be the only way to get rid of the matts without putting him through hours of uncomfortable brushing. But I'm going to keep his face shaggy, otherwise he won't look like Dylan anymore!
This is what he's looking like now:
