We have an ants nest right in George's fav spot to sit! Is ant powder harmful to pups does anyone know Doesn't say on the carton

Yes I would imagine it is, as any insectide is made of horrid chemicals designed to do nasty things. You could try the tried and tested method of pouring a kettle of boiling water over the area, obviously not while george is sunbathing May take a few kettles full but it does work.

Thanks Karen, that's what we resorted to doing and it seems to have worked at moment His little paws had ants in, not good

i would not recomend ant powder,if you can find the nest use a kettle of hot water,or you can get a gel which will def get rid of them maxforce gel for ants

word of warning, the gel is usually based with a honey-like substance to attract the ants and it attracts dogs too. I put some down in a large planter, thinking it would be well out of the way....turned my back and Rocky was in there like a shot, lapping at it. Had to wash his mouth out quick smart...not easy. x
