Hi im from colchester in essex havnt got my cockerpoo yet but was woundering if there are any meets near me...i think its a fantastic way to get dogs socialise with each other!

Hi Kerrie-Ann,
There are quite a few from Essex on here. I'm happy to organise an Essex meet if there is enough demand for it. If anyone else is interested, post on this thread. The meets are really good fun and the 'poos always get on really well together. When are you getting your pup?

A date for the bringing home hasnt been arranged yet ...but were going to see him tomorrow and he'll be three weeks old

We're in Maldon so count us in too! 
Looking at the logistics, I would say that maybe Thorndon Country Park south of Brentwood sounds like the most central place for everyone. Maybe in May? Then you can join us Kerrie-Ann.
Also, I walk every day at Fairlop Waters, Hainault Forest or behind David Lloyd in Chigwell, so if anyone from Loughton, Romford etc wants to join me any day, just let me know. I know that Alison (Dexter) is also in that area as we've walked together before. So mini-meets are always possible.

May sounds good but please don't choose the 12th/13th weekend as I am away then and I would hate to miss it.
Happy to do a mini meet too.
I go to Claybury Park on Wed/Thurs/Fri mornings and weekends if anybody wants to meet anytime. There are quite a few Cockapoo's over there.

Always walk over Thorndon, it's a great place to go.
But can I suggest South Weald as a more central location? Right by the A12/M25 junction (28) 4 car parks (£2.20 for the day)
Can't do the bank holiday weekend by the way.

Hi, shall we try and arrange the date and place for the Essex meet as I don't want to book something up and not be able to go. Does anybody want to set up a Poll I haven't done it before but could give it a go.

I can do either of those dates or locations but can't work out how to do a poll I'm afraid!

Hi, we have set the date as Sunday 20th May at Thorndon Country Park, at 11 am. Meeting arrangement will be posted nearer to the date, but we have a good number of people coming - around a dozen 'poos I think. If you can come, please confirm on the thread.
