What's gone wrong - have the boys been kidnapped by aliens and replaced with imposters?

We're in day 10 of Cockapoo World and have successfully:
- got them sleeping through the night
- changed their diet
- got them doing firm poos
- sitting to be fed

All great! Yay! :twothumbs:

Today though, they must of gone to the loo in the house at least SIX times - all with no warning sign and some after coming in from the garden! :washing:

Why? Oh why? Has this happened...? :(

Forget about it...I used to be paranoid and compiled a chart etc..however it was only a matter of weeks and Molly was trained, I now realise how lucky we were.

However, in the grand scheme of things....this is VERY early days, they will get there, there is no doubt about that.

My tip is always to Use the cleaning spray which eradicates the scent for them therefore discouraging them from reoffending on the same spot. No normal cleaner will work, I used 'Urine Off' which was fab.

That's so frustrating isn't it. Makes you want to cry, especially if you are a little tired from not having much sit down time because of them. Hang in there. Just keep doing what you have been doing. All will work out eventually. I have to admit to getting a bit cross with Max. Think he had peed on the carpet over and over again this particular day, and I shouted at him in frustration. He bucked up his ideas after that. So hang on! :)

Same happened with jasper, it's exhausting! It does get better! I would certainly get some solution to remove the scent left behind. Disinfectant isn't enough, once we used the 'scent off' we got from a bargain home store ( home bargains) he suddenly stopped doing it frequently and he only did it if we missed the signs.you can also get it from pet shops. Good luck, one was a nightmare so double the puddles must be hard work, you sound like your doing a fab job try not to let it get you down.x

Thanks for everyone's good advice - much appreciated - we've invested in both hard floor and carpet pet accident remover - I don't think the floor has ever been so clean!!!

Yes, just a bit frustrated as they were doing really well - knew it was too good to be true.

Clean slate tomorrow! :)

Honestly just allow it to go over your head. Try hard not to get frustrated. Be prepared for "bad" days... They aren't really bad, just blips. It all goes so fast. I used to get frustrated if Lola had accidents and got frustrated with myself, this time I'm totally relaxed and its so much better.

Good news - a peaceful dry night followed by good toilets this morning - well done boys, we're friends again! :)

So, today's objective is back to toilet breaks in the garden - we've put down a scent spray on their turf loo to help them focus. Fingers crossed.

I have to say I think they've officially regressed to day 1!
The last 2 days have been dreadful on the toilet front - almost continuous accidents throughout the day - nearly all without any obvious warning signs.
Probably our fault though as when they started getting better I think we thought they were getting it and stopped taking them out as regularly.
Back to lots of loo breaks today to see if we can get back on track and probably some treat rewards to spur them on.
Good luck boys!
