Just took Millie for a walk and in her usual friendly nature greeted a Pekinese, followed by its mate a Jack Russell.....

...who instantly grabbed Millie's nose  Poor thing, quite a few whelps from Millie.

To be fair, the owner did have the Jack Russell on a lead and said, 'oh keep Millie away, this one doesn't like dogs'. But it was all too late. Luckily no damage done. But why is it always a Jack Russell that has attitude

Jack Russell's have LOTS of energy, and rarely do owners expend enough of that energy so they are generally ( not always) frustrated, they need to be running and jumping and playing alot to get it all out to calm right down. I am so glad Millie is ok!

I had two jack russells for the last 15 years they were litter mates but both totally individual characters. The bigger one was a people person and affraid of other dogs the smaller one was everone's friend. They were great fun and easy to walk as they always kept me in sight (rather than my cairn who would disappear for ages!) I love the Jack Russell temprement. As with all dogs the owners are as much of an influence on the dogs behaviour as the dogs themselves.

My parents have Jack Russell crosses, 3 of them, and they are really nice dogs, ok a bit yappy at times but only to when the door bell goes lol ... saying that the boy Jack Russell is a little beep beep at times with other dogs ... firm owner required .. so pleased Millie is ok xxx
