My little poppet Bo is having her spay op tomorrow and I'm so nervous about it. She's so attached to us, particularly me, and I know she's going to be upset when we leave her at the vet's in the morning and I think she'll bark the place down. How is she likely to be for the first few days? Thanks.
Poor little Bo,am sure she will be back to her old self in no time at all. When kd my eldest was spayed she was a little off colour for the first day back and a little sick too but didnt take too long to recover. My only advice would be to keep on the lampshade( well thats what i call the medical collar lol) on at all times apart from when she needs a drink and to eat because she may try and pick her stitches. The first meal i offered kd was boiled white fish amd rice because i found it was more gentle on the stomach.Good luck and give her a big cuddle from me xxx
Good luck with her spay. Stela did great with her surgery a month ago. She came home the same day and next day she was almost back to normal...had to keep her from running! You can read more in this thread: http://ilovemycockapoo.com/showthread.php?t=7518
