My poor boy is looking so sad. He hates his collar and is looking up at me with such mournful eyes. Can't help but feel guilty.:(

Oh bless him! Have you been given one of those Elizabethan cones? Check out 'Comfy Collars' online. They're a lot more comfortable.

He'll be back to normal very soon. Dylan hated his collar too, so I took it off when he was with me, and I could constantly supervise him. He didn't ever try to bother the wound, so after a few days I dispensed with the collar altogether. I found that the worst thing was not taking him for proper walks for 10 days, but you just get through it soon enough. Don't feel guilty - it's for his own good x
He can't wait to get to his wound the minute I take his cone off! And his paw where he had his drip he wants to chew away at!
Hi, i had my Archie done yesterday and he to looks so sad. I know it's for the best but i did feel so guilty. He is wearing something that resembles a lampshade and is not impressed. He is sleeping at the mo and was so well behaved last night although he was bumping into things. Can't wait for him to go for proper walks again.

wow how do you stop him attacking that beautiful tree lol
Ah poor boys, hope they both feel better soon. Can't be fun having your bits messed around with :)

Jackster, I'm impressed you have your tree up already. Haven't even thought about mine yet!
I took advantage of doing it yesterday when Archie was at the vets. He is really good and has a sniff but generally leaves it alone. It took all day to do and thought it was best to put it up whilst my baby was away. Thanks for your comments.
aww don't worry too much, you've done the right thing and just think it will only be a few days out of his whole life :)

We did the same with Monty 6 months ago and he wasn't impressed either but it healed up within a week and he had forgotten all about it. He is exactly the same in character too so don't worry :)

He still loves his mummy im sure!:D
Aw bless them. It's awful seeing them like that, and boy do your shins suffer, but it's not for long and it's for the best.

Re comfy collars - don't bother if your dog has a long neck. I got one for my labradoodle. £17 later and it was on for about 10 seconds before he licked himself. I made sure it was the right size too!
