I am arranging a CCGB meet if anyone would like to join in - looking for a venue - anyone have a suggestion? I had thought about Lady Mary's Walk at Crieff, which Kendal had checked out before.
Hope to put some faces to names :p

Too far for me as l dont do motorways so will catch you all at the next one thats around the falkirk, stirling or Cumbernauld area.

Have fun!
hey Sheilagh I'm planning on doing a Cumbernauld walk soon(things a bit hectic at the moment) there is a walk real close to me that you can do in about 2 hours or tun back early and just do an hour walk. it would be meeting at the rugby club. only a couple of bits at the start where the dogs should be on lead, then after that they can be off lead the rest. then if you wanted to make it longer you can head up to palacerigg but i dont know the walks roud palacerigg well enugh as its been a long time since ive been there.

cumbernauld fields are good but its the parking. the biggest parking aria is in abronhill.

i was thinking that is therresa wanted to come to you 2 could meet up in falkirk and you could show her the way as you know cumbernauld better.
Well so far we have people coming from Glasgow, Stirling and East Lothian - maybe we should switch venue, seems pointless in us all travelling North!
Mandy - any chance of you driving down or is Crieff too far?
we have a new cockapoo coming to class, met the owner for the first time last night, pup not hd its second jab yet but told her about the walk. i think i saw a cockapoo yesterday, but i was walking poppy and dodge so didnt catch them.

i still dont see that many cockapoos round me.
Not many here either - the only other locally has a wee sister now, I know of about 5 in Haddington/North Berwick and there are a number in Edinburgh, including Oscar (rehomed Buster) but only one is a member here and CCGB.

Let's wait until next week to make a decision on venue - if we do switch to further south, Colin will probably bring Poppy and Rosie ( and Maureen!)
I am not a member of CCGB so am I excluded? If so, I will look out for the next 'forum' meet that doesn't have any conditions attached. This is maybe something that should have been posted on the CCGB website and not on this open forum.

Ah, hadnt noticed it was being arranged under only one of the clubs. I am a member of both the CCGB and the Cockapoo Owners club and would certainly prefer to go to meets open to any owners no matter whether they were a member of a club or not.

The last meet was instigated by Theresa and was posted on this forum. CCGB and the Cockapoo owners club and I think it would be nice if meets continued that way open to all. We had a Cockapoo meet, not a club meet.

Just my thought on the matter

Of course you are welcome to come Tressa, I have no idea what made you think otherwise and I would never have posted it on here if that was not the case. Kendal is coming too. Soo, please do advertise on COC if you think there is anyone who does not subscribe to ILMC who would like to come.
I absolutely agree that it is a cockapoo meet, not a club meet, the more the merrier, and we are so few up here compared to some places down south!:)

Just realised I had put "CCGB" on original post and it may have been read differently to my intention - sorry for any muddle

Can you come then Teresa?
I thought that apart from the rain Callendar park was a super venue with the open park, wood walks, great parking, the kiosk and tearoom.
And of corse its somewhere l can drive to :)

Not 100% sure, Ali - I know I have something on that weekend but not sure whether Sat. or Sun. I will be checking dates today and will know more by this afternoon. Will certainly be there if dates work out, of course.

It is a lovely venue, although not seen at its best through the battering rain last time:rolleyes: Maybe the weather will behave for us next time. I am happy to fall in with whatever people feel would be suitable. (And yes, it would be good to be guided to the Cumbernauld venue when Kendal gets a date for that one. I can get myself to Cumbernauld, just about, but after that I am lost!)
I was trying to find somewhere that the folk further north could reach too, and it was suggested by Kendal previously. If no-one is travelling further north than Glasgow, we could switch venue :)
