Hello, I shut Bruce in a crate at night, However i wake up every morning to a very messy crate. I have been putting puppy pads in with him since he was arrived as i thought he wouldnt be able to hold it in all night, was this the right thing to do?
How do i start to train him so he can hold it in through the night?
Thank you :)

Don't be fooled by how he looks. Butter wouldn't melt! Haha.
What is vet bed? Do I use it instead of a bed? Or would I use it at the front of the cage instead of his puppy pad?
His cage is just big enough to have his pillow covered in a blanket and a puppy pad in the front?.
Thanks for everyone's help. Hopefully we will see some light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Ill have to think about where I can put him to give him more space.
He's a terror for wires at the moment so I felt that as every room (apart from bathroom) have wires I would feel more at ease with him being in his cage. I will see where I can block him off.
Also house training is also a problem. Poos are Always done outside (apart from at night) he will sit and wait by the door to go outside if he needs one.
However wees are done wherever whenever. It's starting to be an issue as he can leave anything from 5 mins between them or a good few hours. I take him outside every hour. But it's still not getting easier. Help!?

His last feed is about 5:30. I don't really want to get up any earlier or through the night as I don't want to get him into this routine.
I put puppy pads down as I don't like the thought of him sleeping in a wet bed, but also see that this could be encouraging him to do it in his crate.
It's so difficult to know what the right thing to do is!
Thanks for your help
