Hi everyone

I will be getting my first cockapoo in October (Mum is due in Aug). I am trying to decide which size crate to get. Previous posts have suggested 36inch to allow plenty of room and a toilet area, however I do not plan to ever shut her in, the crate will be in the kitchen as a hiding place/bed but will be used in the car for travelling.

Can anyone advise if a smaller crate would be ok? I was thinking 79cm size but worried it may be too small?

Mum is a cocker spaniel, dad is a miniature poodle

I have a 36" crate. It's a good size to have as does allow stretching out room but as your dog is a girl she may be slightly smaller so maybe 32" or 34" will be ok.

I am also looking at what size crate to get.... my puppy is an F2 cockapoo, mum is 15" to the shoulder and dad is 14". Going by what I have read, a 36" sounds the right size to buy.

more is better, and 36" usually if they are the metal type come with a divider to use when they are small puppies.
