Does anyone else's poo cry and bark when left alone? Honey is fine when shut in conservatory as she knows it's bed or we are out but as soon as I leave her to go upstairs, put kids to bed shower etc she cries and cries and won't give in however tired she is. She just sits by stair gate in kitchen. It is driving me mad, how do I stop this? I've tried praising when I go back to her but it doesnt help, any advice appreciated x

Millie is the same she is 5 months old nearly. The kids are moaning about her because when I go out they are left at home with her and all she does is cry. It doesn't seem to matter that others are around its when i leave the room. I keep telling myself she will get better as she gets older.

Ignore it and get on with what you are doing. Hattie will sit quiet as a mouse in the car when I go to sort my horse but she KNOWS when I have finished as when she sees me putting the buckets away up she pipes! She is just attention seeking and if I acknowledge this I just feed her need to be noticed! She is quite happy in her crate in the car or the house she just has to have the last word. We had a poodle when I was a child and I remember she always moaned whenever anyone went out of sight, it did not mean she was distressed she was just making a point!

It is nice to hear that there are so many cockapoos like this. Scarlett is like my shadow, following me around all of the time. I usually let her into the bathroom with me when I shower and she lies on the rug until I am finished. If I go up or downstairs where she can't see me, she will cry, but I talk to her and she is alright.

Bobby is 2 but still follows me all round the house. He can be asleep on the settee fast asleep but as soon as I stand up to go into the kitchen or upstairs he leaps off and follows.

It is no use shutting the bathroom door because he paws at it, and he sits by the side of the bath till I get out.

I have managed now to get him to go out of the bathroom when told, but inevitably he will sneak in - mainly to steal one of the old toilet roll holders from the waste bin! :)
