Tonight we met the Leonberger again! I still can't get over the size of his head! He is a youngster  and has 8 stone still to put on!

I was a bit apprehensive as I didn't know if he would squash her when playing but thankfully they played really well! It mainly involved Daisy out-running him, him taking a short cut and catching her and then her submitting! :D

Wow ... very brave of Daisy to play with such a big dog. Sometimes we see a Newfoundland who comes over to say hello to Maisie ... very comical sight as Maisie is the same size as his head! He a gentle giant though ... they don't play together, just touch noses!

Well done Daisy! Those Leonbergers are huge! We come across one locally on a fairly regular basis.

Gareth was walking our three the other morning whilst I was teaching and they came across a huge Newfoundland on a narrow path. Gareth and Rufus just walked past, Zoe Greyhound nervously ran past ........but where was Basil? Basil took one look at this huge dog, squealed, and bolted in the other direction! I have to say the Newfoundland, which I have met before, doesn't even walk like a dog ...... more like a polar bear. I'm pleased to say all four were reunited very quickly after that. Wish I'd seen Basil though!

Oh poor Basil! I am not surprised, they are quite a sight to behold and this one is just a baby! You don't get a proper feel for the size in the photos but when I saw him for the first time I was  :D I had never heard of them before! He just kind of lollops around but gets tired very quickly! His owner said he has a mad moment just before bed every night  Cockapoo mad moments are bad enough when they bomb around the house like loonies :D but I can't imagine what his mad moment must be like!
