Finally coming out of hiding to introduce myself. I've been reading the board for a little over a month and have gotten so much information and of course loved looking at the adorable pictures of cockapoos!

Our family will be getting a cockapoo puppy in about 8 weeks. I am beyond excited because our puppy should be born any day now! It's almost as exciting as waiting for my 2 kids to be born! I've been checking my e-mail non stop for "the" email!

I'm sure i'll post more as it gets closer to bringing our puppy home. I know i'll have tons of questions!

Hi Jaime and welcome! :D

How exciting waiting for the news. What types are the Mum and Dad? Do you have a preference for a boy or girl?

I look forward to hearing your puppy news and please have a look at the Cockapoo Owners Club website for information on all things Cockapoo! (You can join even if you don't have your Cockapoo yet! :) )

Before reading this board I had no idea that there were different types of that there were politcs involved in which generation the cockapoo is! We found a breeder near us (I live in Ontario Canada). She has 8 first generation cockapoos so her puppies are second generation I think. Is that how it goes? I really like the breeder. It's obvious that she loves her dogs and they all had great temperments when we went to visit them.

The parents of her cockapoos are all AKC registered, but to be honest i didn't even look in to that part of it because i didn't know about it until after.

The mom of our puppy is a blue merle with tan and the dad is blonde. The mom looks like a typical cockapoo to me, but the dad looks more spaniel. This is the first litter that the mom will have so she is really excited to see what colours she gets.

Thanks for the welcome!
