So we have a car booked for tomorrow and are looking to take Boston on a day trip somewhere out of London. Probably 1-2 hours drive (max) down into Kent or Sussex somewhere.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Ideally we'd like to take him off-lead somewhere. Last time we did this we went to Seasalter near Whitsable and let him run wild at the beach. I've also taken him on holiday to Camber Sands before.

Maybe a forest walk this time? Am hoping someone might know of somewhere good that would keep both of us entertained for the day!

How about a walk in the New Forrest - then on to Milford on Sea for a walk on the beach ( dogs are welcome any time of year - it's pebbly so no problems with the sand!!) - you should be able to get there within a couple of hours.

New Forest - easy to get to - plenty of walking - avoid Lyndhurst - always have to queue to get through !
Lunch at The Red Lion, Boldre, dog friendly inside and out, then on to Milford on Sea ! Perfect !

Thank you for the suggestions! I've added both New Forest and Milford on Sea to places to go.

We ended up going a bit closer to home down to King's Wood in Kent. Lovely little forest walk where we met lots of fellow pups. Followed up all the socialising by a fantastic lunch at a pub called George's Inn (http://www.thegeorgeinnmolash.co.uk/). Puppy friendly and great food! I'll post some photos into a new thread.

Sorry a bit late with this thread! Bedgebury Forest in Kent is a magnificent forest, although the only problem is that there can be too many bikers there. Camber is fantastic - haven't taken Biscuit there yet but plan to very soon! It's only an hour from us. x
