Hey all!
So tonight is Bella's first vet visit with me (she had one with the breeder and tonight we go for the second round of shots)....Any tips? I'm nervous and am trying to come up with a million questions for the vet does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!:)

Hi Chloe,

I’m not surprised you’re apprehensive but I’m sure everything will be fine. I imagine she’ll have her first inoculation and the vet will weigh her and possibly give you flea and worm treatments. You could ask if they offer ‘puppy parties’ – not sure if it’s something offered in Canada – they’re groups of owners and their puppies so that each puppy can meet other dogs to play and most importantly to socialise.

Good luck!

Bring some treats to distract Bella from the shots, she may not even notice the shots at all.
Write down a list of your questions. What vet are you going to a few of my friends are vet techs.
And try and stay as calm as you can so as not to freak out bella...that is if youare weary of needles...lol like me.

My cavalier was terrified of the vet's he used to howl like the hound of the Baskervilles. (althuogh he was never bothered about fireworks) His biggest fear was the kennel cough vaccine up his nose! I have been careful with my 2 to make visiting the vet's a relaxing and happy experience- my vet gives them a treat while on the examination table but if yours doesn't then take them with you .Dexter sniffs round for his treat as soon as we get there.
