Perhaps Deefer is regretting licking his sore poor.. vet has had a look and either something went in and then out again! or we have a small object making a bid for freedom. Either way he has a pultice on and we have to go back to the vets tomorrow.

His birthday is on Saturday and I hope he will be mended by then.

Think the problem occured during his walk on Saturday! It was his first since being given the all clear after castration and he went mad - charged around the leaves and twigs in the wood and then did a double dip in the muddiest part of a stream that he could find.

Life as a cockapoo owner is never dull!

Poor Deefer, hope his foot gets better soon. Did the vet say how long the now ex-bandage has to stay on, is he allowed outside with it on? I did google an outdoor boot for Millie, in case the snow proved a problem, that seemed pretty sturdy.

I have to go back to the vets tomorrow. They are hoping whatever it is will make a bid for freedom overnight! Will let you know how it goes.

Good news to tell. The pultice drew out some black specs of something or other... swellling is down, bandage is off and off he goes again (I am sure until the next time!). He can now celebrate his birthday without the cone of shame, a bandage and no doubt a charge around the woods again!.

Thanks for your wishes.

Sue

PS He did a pitiful cry at the vet when she took off the bandage - dopey dog!
