As you may have seen on previous threads George has given up on NI. I m really keen to keep him on a barf diet so today he tried raw eggs (yumyum) and fresh sardines (even more yumyum). Both were a huge hit. Any ideas what else would be good as I embark on what seems like a diy barf at George's insistance

I guess GG is still on puppy NI. Have you spoken to them about introducing adult NI. They have a good variety of meats. Millie wasn't keen on Pure Beef, but did eat it. She loved Chicken & Lamb.

Are you putting the DIY barf food with the NI, or no NI at all. have you tried Natures Menu, that's fairly barf oriented in packet form.

Have tried Natures menu and George wont touch it. Hav managed to get him to eat one portion of NI recently but only as it was frozen. Would prefer the NI route but George is having non of it and still got 5 tubs of it in the freezer, its the puppy variety. Do you think there is much difference in the adult varieties,

I have had a nightmare with Izzy and NI. After four happy months of eating NI she flatly refused it. To get her to eat it I mix in a variety of other foods so that I can keep feeding her a balanced diet. Having done this for several months we have reached a situation where I add only a very small amount of something else and so she is virtually back on a full NI diet.

I think there is a difference with the adult stuff. Just more flavour etc. Have you spoken to NI directly to see what they suggest.

You don't want to go buying bulk of adult food only to have him refuse that also. Is there anyone near you who feeds NI, maybe you could get hold of one with tripe in it or the chicken & lamb.

Maybe you just have to give NI a break for a while, introduce some ordinary wet dog food and perhaps try NI in a few months, mixing it at first with the wet dog.
