I was told this by my groomer at 6 months and when I took him again at 8 months she still said his adult coat was not coming through and would not cut him even though he resembled a yetti. I was booked on the grooming course so had to cut him myself and I must say his coat has definitely changed since doing so. He was very soft and cuddly before but he is not nearly so soft now. I did go and ask another couple of groomers advice but they said they would have no problem cutting him. I don't really know much about grooming so not sure whether the coat would have changed anyway how long I waited.

I think they get a little less soft, because it is their adult coat.

When Lady was about 4 months old I took her for a face trim, so that she could see....but she didn't get a full groom untill I think 7 moths or so,
