We have had a tough few weeks but happy to say it is Molls 13th birthday.

Healthwise she has suffered for years from pancreatitis, added IBD to this a couple of years ago and has now added Kidney problems to the list. Lots of vet visits but we finally have a plan and some medication to hopefully help her feel a bit better and get back to the long happy walks she usually enjoys.

Lots and lots of vet visits and we now have blood pressure medication which helps the pressure on her kidneys, and anti-acid medication and we are currently having even more antibiotics to try and tackle a very stubborn infection. I have also had to alter her diet although with IBD and pancreatitis that has not been straightforward.

Things have been very up and down with good days and bad days and more weight lost but her kidney values have improved with last blood test so I am hoping we can get things under control.

Finally things are looking better. We had a solid 4 weeks of antibiotics and that seems to have got rid of the infection and Molly is much happier I think both from getting rid of infection and no longer having to take antibiotics.

She still has a degree of kidney damage and will need monitoring for that but for now she is happier and we are getting back to a more normal life
