today isn't going very well with the toilet training. Millie has wee'd 3 times this morning indoors and its not even dinner time. I take her out nearly every half hour and most times she goes but today its seems she needs to go every 10 mins.

Also she keeps barking at me whilst running around near me. why is that?

I do feel she is bonding better with Coco than me how do I make sure its me she sees as pack leader?

Sorry to hear your not having a very good start to your day. I can remember having days like that with Bertie and you do wonder when they'll get the hang of it. It sounds like your doing everything right, taking her out often, maybe she's feeling a little mischievous today

Not sure about the barking perhaps she wants you to play, Bertie sometimes barks at me normally when I'm not paying him any attention the little tinker!

As I've only got the one poo I can't give any advise on the bonding issue but there are lots of peeps on here who have got more than one so I'm sure they'll be able to give you lots of great advise.

Sending you big cockapoo hugs from Bertie

Sorry to hear you are having a bad day ... Ref the toilet training stick with it, sounds like you are doing everything right, regular trips outside, when an accident happens pick her up and putting her out may help too. of course with lots of praise whe wee wee outside :)

As for bonding with Coco, you want this to happen and I am sure one of them will become canine leader, but at the same time you want to be pack leader and be in control, try doing do some basic training with them together and also some with one to one training.

If I was you I would put this down to a bad day, brush it off and put your pack leader head on ... by the way we all have days like this :) :) :)

Hi Lois

Sorry to hear you are having a bad day. We've had a few this week with Bo. We stand outside in the garden for ages while she runs around the garden. I say pee pee, poo poo in a silly voice and then eventually we go back in the house and she wees on the kitchen floor. They'll get there eventually but it seems you spend half the day on your knees at the moment. Re the barking at you, she could be trying to get your attention so just turn away and ignore her when she does it. Bo does it to us sometimes. I don't say a word to her when she does, I just ignore her.

It is tough isn't it, and I am sure you had forgotten just how tough it was with Coco, so easy to forget the tough stuff and remember all the cuddles and giggles that a puppy brings. I am sure she will get it. she is really still very much a baby.
Remember to have time one on one with each dog. She will likely view Coco as a pack leader as well as you.

As for the wees, I am sure this is just a set back. she is only 9 weeks or something according to your signature, so it will just take a bunch of time for her to get used to it.

I would think the barking is just play too...Lady would sit there and stare at me and bark and I hadn't a clue why, untill I realized she wanted me to chase her...it was the funniest...it was like a light bulb went off in my head and all of a sudden I understood her.

Keep at it, I am sure you are doing great.

Hi - if Millie really is going every 10 minutes she might have an infection, worth a phone call to the vets - our Ruby had one a while back, just some anti-biotics and it cleared up really quickly - the same couldn't be said for our carpets!

We gave her free access to the garden so she could go as often as she needed to.

Oh dear - I know how you feel - we had it last week with constant wees.

While I was at Puppy Socialisation I mentioned that I find evenings tough as he seems to need wee & poo stops every 10 mins which is wearing ! She said that when they run around & play, their bodies make waste products faster. So the 6 - 8pm run mad phase coincides with extra toilet stops !!!

Glass of wine for you tonight. I am hoping this phase will go soon so I can give my carpets a great shampoo.

I'm glad the weather is warming up. Millie seems worse in the mornings, maybe its because she plays with Coco a lot after not being with him at night and thats making her wee a lot .

If I had some baileys in the house I might have had a glass with me dinner instead I had to have a cup of tea :D

I had it easy with Coco because he was nervous he only got off his bed to go outside then came straight back in on his bed. I don't think he every had an accident. You soon forget what hard work puppies are when they grow up.

Hi, I am Nanci and I just joined yesterday, have been reading posts for a few days. My husband and I have a 14 weeks old male coockapoo we picked up at the Atlanta airport 2 weeks ago, his name is Sami and he looks exactly like Bo, only jet black. I was identifying well with frustrating houstraining days!! Little Millie is about Sami"s age. He is doing well on the leash outside, and I repeat pee pee or poo all the time and he usually does go. He is distracted easily with blowing leaves and sounds, but I try to re direct very gently and lots of praise when he goes. However, he does also have accidents in the house, and is not scolded, just scooted back outside. We both work and he is in the gated kitchen for 6-7 hrs. during the day and has had 2 dry days. He is in his pen at night and had 6 completly dry nights until last night he did several poos!! He got spooked just before bedtime by the celing fan, and this may have been a nervous reaction? Also, I am giving him Blue Buffalo puppy food which is all natural and he seems to love. How much do i feed him daily? He weighs 5 pounds. I am giving 1/2 cup in the mornings and 1/2 when we get home, and a few morsels as treats when he does business outside. He pees in the mornings (is this excitement?) a little while putting his leash on and when we get home when greeting him. Sorry for the long post, I'm new at this (had a tiny coockapoo 20 yrs ago and forgot everything!) and I really need opinions . . thank you so much
