Hello all,

Here is Toffee. Her Mum & Dad were both first generation Cockapoos but she seems to have thrown back to the Cocker side of the family. When she was 5 weeks she looked like her sisters and bro but now at just over 4 months, she has gone darker and straighter. Some signs of feathering on her tail and legs but early days.
She has inherited Cocker traits of "Wall of Death" (30 mins two or three times a day charging around the garden or the house at full pelt regardless of obstacles or any amount of coaxing back ) and Digging (our poor lawn and border has been through the wars:mad:).
She is very cute though and an absolute tart when it comes to meeting people and dogs - straight on her back :D.

:welcome: Apples and Toffee

Toffee looks lovely. I know what you mean about the lawn, my poor husband keeps complaining , but he simply adores our Millie.

She sounds like a real character.

Her coat my well change again, esp when the adult coat comes in at about 7 months.

What a brilliant intro! :) Toffee is gorgeous - I love the Spaniel features.

Welcome Toffee AND Apples xx

Yes the Grand-dad effect is apparent - and she is a stunner x

F2's are generally the most unstable of the pairings - and (not always) you can see this "throw-back" as you put it come into play. Often not in all the puppies in one litter - you can get "Cockapoo" types / "Cocker" types and "Poodle" types in one litter.
The face in the puppy pic did does show slight curls but the body hair looks short. Did the breeder advise if she could swing more Cocker'ish ?
I'd be very interested to know if she sheds (all dogs moult - no matter what breeders say - but some less than others - it would certainly be interesting to know if the low-shedding element is still possible).

Hi Turi
Thanks for the welcome from Celia and long suffering husband Mark.
Good luck with your new Cockapoo.
We never had a Pup before only older rescue dog so that was all an eye opener.
Sometimes we wondered what we had done but so rewarding. Many testing times still to come I'm sure.

Hi Stephen,
The Breeder was quite upfront that there were no guarantees as to the attributes of any of the pups. This was Fudgie's second litter and all the first were more Cockapoo.
Of this litter not many of the new Mums & Dads have reported back yet so not sure if Toffee is a one off or maybe balanced by a predominantly Poodle pup or two?
She definitely sheds but not to a great extent. We had a JRT before and had to hoover daily - the car was like a rug. Toffee is nothing like that.
