Hello Everyone,

I am delighted to introduce myself, Annie to this this forum. I secured my cockapoo puppy yesterday and my partner Rich and I have named her Poppy.

She was 3 weeks old yesterday and so have 5 long weeks to wait until I bring her home!

She is a cockapoopoo (mum is beautiful all black cockapoo and dad is pedigree apricot miniature poodle).

I had loads and loads of questions but since reading through a lot of your previous postings a lot of them have been answered!

My profile picture is of us yesterday after we had made the very hard decision of chosing her from 6 gorgeous pups. We will visit in 2 weeks on her 5 week birthday to see her again!

So for now, hello! I think I'm already a little bit addicted to this site looking at other photos and hearing people's stories and tips.

Annie and Poppy xx

Hi. I too am waiting to collect my little girl Poppy! The whole family are really excited - we collect on 8 May. This site is really great for advice - I've already used it to choose a cage, insurance, shampoo, etc. Just researching the minefield of puppy food now!

Hello
I remember that agonising wait well. We picked Lolly from a litter of 6 when she was 5 weeks old and had to wait 3 looooong weeks to bring her home. Added to that we hadn't told our children we were getting a puppy until the day we went to get her (last Thursday) so I had that enormous secret to hold in all the Easter school hols as well! lol
Enjoy this time of shopping for lovely new puppy things.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your replies!

Michelle, snap! Black girls called Poppy! How cute. 25th May for me so even longer to wait! Please post pictures of Poppy when you get her!

Flounder, I don't know how you managed to keep that a secret. I have told everyone I have met today about how excited I am to be getting a puppy! Everyone assumes you already have her at home but oh no, not until 5 more weeks! And we are in the process of narrowing down choices for beds, toys, food etc!

Louise, hello. I'm from Letchworth in Hertfordshire!

Tressa, thank you for the welcome!

It's such an exciting time waiting for a new puppy! Welcome to the Cockapoo world. We already have two Cockapoos fathered by our stud dog Ziggy. We have just two bitches to our new young stud dog Uncle Fester and I really want to keep a puppy from him too. Think I might have to persuade Stephen though, wish me luck. And enjoy your new pup.
