Hello,

I have a little 20 month apricot cockapoo, Maisie. Just discovered this site whilst looking on the internet for advice on care after spaying. Maisie was spayed (also had 2 milk teeth removed, poor thing) on Friday, and is still very subdued. It is obviously hurting to walk so she is mainly staying put in her bed. Occasionally she scuttles low down along the floor quite quickly then stops. Hope she perks up soon.

I am a first time dog owner so have no experience of this. Am a little worried because she jumped on and off the sofa a couple of times before we could stop her, so am hoping stitches haven't been damaged. Looks ok as far as I can tell through the dressing. Anyway I will be seeing the vet tomorrow.

We do love having a cockapoo and I have been thinking of getting another at some stage. My teenage son is asthmatic and allergic to most dogs but has no problem with Maisie.

Its good to know there are so many cockapoo fans!

Welcome Mogdog...........Yes we love our cocapoos. This is a great site for asking questions and putting out info. Great people too. Your pup will be fine, dogs are somehow able to recover from things. Animal pain is different then human pain. Never the less Kendal's advice is good.
