Hello,
I have a 1 year old male called Barney and he is lovely in everyway apart from an issue with dominance/aggression over similar age/younger males which seems to have developed since he was about 7 months. He is fine with females and dogs that are older. I am now wondering if castration may help as it does seem to be a dominance issue. We are booked in to see the vet for his annual check but wondered if anyone has had any similar experiences or advice they could share

I would get a trainer involved to properly assess the aggression before neutering - true dominance aggression is rare and if it is more anxiety based neutering can actually make things worse. https://apdt.co.uk/find-a-trainer/

Thank you for your reply, I have done a lot of research and reading regarding the issue and realise it’s not as straightforward as once thought.
I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience?
