Hi, I'm new to this site. My name is Connie, and I am the happy guardian of Milo the cockapoo. Milo was 2 years old on Feb. 28, 2010, and has been living with us since he was 9 months old. In his previous home, he was mostly kept in a cage or on a leash even in the house, so he was very timid when we got him and he had both an eye and severe ear infection. Poor little guy! Anyway, we got him to my vet and got him healthy pretty fast. After taking him to training, and doggy day care to get him socialized he has become such a friendly happy little guy! He is so smart...I had read that to teach a dog to drop something he was not supposed to have, you should trade him for a treat or toy or whatever, so I did that a few times, and now he picks up stuff just so I will trade him for a treat! I guess that backfired on me LOL.
