Always had short haired dogs before. Took Poppy out in snow for first time, she loved it but quickly became 'snow bound', hardly able to walk for the amount of snow and ice attached to her legs and underneath. Had to pop her under a luke warm shower and gradually 'thawed' her out. I will have to find some suitable clothing for her before I can take her out again!
She is now dry and curled up sound asleep.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Ours comes in with clumps of snow all on his legs and belly. It doesn't bother him though he loves to play in the snow! I've been getting the clumps out when he comes inside which does take quite a while.
