My family received the best Christmas present ever, our girl Lola! She is 6 months old and been the most wonderful addition to our home. We love her so much. I do have a question I hope someone can help me with. She is scheduled to be spayed on Tuesday and the vet said they would remove her canine teeth
if needed and that it is common in Cockapoos. It really makes me nervous and not sure that I should have this done. Any info you can give me would be much
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi There,
Welcome to the forum. Are her K9 teeth her puppy teeth??

My vet said to me that when she was being spayed they would remove any remaining puppy teeth to avoid any future need to put her out for tooth removal.

if it's her puppy teeth then yes, go for it.

I'm in the same situation as you,
Tilly will be 6months next thurs 15th,
She is getting spayed on wed 14th
She had 4 retained baby teeth when I last saw the vet and he also suggested to get them removed when getting spayed,
This was costing a extra 140€, absolute robbery 😡

In the space of a week 2 have already fallen out on they"re own so I'm hoping in the next week the other 2will fall out😄

At just six months old I'd assume they'll fall out on their own unless she's really tiny. But it is better to not put them under a lot too... your call really. 'Lo is 'small' for a cocka at 12 pounds, and she didn't need any help with her teeth.

What cross is she? My Poppy has just been spayed a week ago as well, all her teeth were out though.
