The paths on the school walk this morning were just awful, I got my daughter into school and then started to head home, I was walking slowly and carefully on the ice when I slipped, honestly I must have looked so funny, my feet were going backwards and forwards trying to get my balance back, anyway, just at the moment I felt I regained my footing Freddy decided to move - and I ended up on my bottom sat on the pavement  I was SO embarassed  Freddy came over, gave me a lick and I got to my feet as quickly as I could!

The thing is, since then, every time I have ventured on to the ice again, Freddy has slowed his pace (usually he is eager to get everywhere and quickly!) and he keeps glancing up at me to check I'm ok.

How sweet is that! I feel like I have my own assistance dog! ;)

Ah - I heard a similar but more horrible story today of a mum who slipped on the ice yesterday outside a local school, complete with a GSD puppy, and broke her ankle! The poor woman had to lie there and wait for an hour for the ambulance to arrive. I'm told the puppy just sat there quietly until someone offered to take him home to help her. What a nightmare!! I have been walking very carefully ever since!

Glad that you are ok and how lovely that Freddy is making sure you are ok :) Maybe I should send Beau out with Madeleine the next time she goes clubbing in the snow as ended up on her bottom whilst trying to walk along in very high heels  Luckily a nice boy helped her up and escorted her to the nearest club ;)

Well done Freddy!
Must admit this has worried me as Buddy likes to pull but he walked very slowly with me yesterday im unsure if it was because he thought i was unsteady on my feet or more because he was sliding around abit.
