Good evening all. I am the proud owner of a beautiful 1 year old cockapoo. She is walked once a day for roughly an hour, for that hour she does not stop chasing her ball. When she's at home she is on the go al day. We never give her human food, other than the odd slice of chicken every now and again. She has a lovely little tummy tuck, I can feel her ribs, spine and hips. She measures 17inch from the ground to the top of her shoulders and weighs 10kg
To my horror the vet said she is over weight?
Is she or am I over thinking this?

You really need hands on a dog to know if it’s overweight. A fit dog should have a waist visible from above, a clear abdominal tuck and you should be able to feel at least some ribs relatively easily.
