Hi All,

I have followed lots of little bits of advice that I have come accross on the site and our first week with Billy is going surprisingly well.
He is sleeping in his crate 10.30pm till 7.30am and eating three good meals a day. He is going outside to toilet however we are pre-empting this most of the time.
Billy is a bit mouthy though and loves nipping on ankles, trousers, toes etc - any advice for dealing with this?

We love being a cockapoo family!

Just one suggestion...

Target the biting behaviour into chew toys, filled with treats etc. So instead of reprimanding for bad behaviour, don't allow the bad behaviour to even occur by occupying him with positive chewing instead. Consider serving one of the meals up over the course of the day in various chew toys, so that overall calories are not changed.

Thanks - I will give that a go. Have tried a few 'ouch!' and also tried holding him like a baby till he calmed down as he only does it during overexcited play.
