After what seemed like months of waiting (3 weeks!) we got to take Kipper out for a walk. We had a blast - went across the road to the big field, the kids got to climb trees and play, Kipper got a good runaround off lead. Then this evening a quick 15 min walk around the block. Kipper met a 5 month fox terrier - and really wanted to play but was told off in no uncertain terms. He went all submissive, showing his tummy and cowering and then wanted to get back and try and play again.
I think the thing I was worried about is meeting other dogs and how it would all go... today's didn't go brilliantly, but he wasn't too bothered. Need to try and get some positive doggie experiences for him - hopefully at training classes which start Monday.
But yippeee we can go out and about again!!
