Leather cleaner

My darling Dexter so loves to put his paws onto the sofa and I'm probably a big softie as I do let him sit with me on it too. Anyway my lovely pale beige is looking worse for wear and the cleaner wipes I normally use are not doing the trick. Can anyone recommend a more effective leather cleaner ?

I would go for a saddlery cleaner and preserver. From memory there is a saddlery shop in Notte Street otherwise any form of leather soap should do the trick.
I agree with Pollypiglet, I use saddle soap on my leather sofa and it brings all sorts of dirt out!

Brilliant leather care products. I valet and detail cars and use their cleaner.

When we got Gisgo we were really strict about "no getting on the new leather sofas". Earlier today we found him up on one of the sofas happily chewing away on his pizzle......!!!! He does also like to curl up next to us on the sofa in the evening (when we put his blanket on the sofa for him.......but his nose does creep off the blanket every time)

So I will be ordering some of this stuff too!
Solv-it leather cleaner.
Available in Robert dyas, use it all the time to "save" the sofa!

Anyone know how to remove scuff scratches from their sofa?
is your sofa leather Kristy?
Yes and we have a few scuffs, not what I would call scratches though, wondered if there is a product out there that would help without ruining it.
Is your couch black??
if yes then supper easy.

All you have to do is rub a little olive oil into it, circcular motion, wipe it on with a towel, then wipe it off after about 30 seconds of rubbing in, wipe with the clean side of the towel....this conditions the leather....then if it is black, take a bit of shoe polish and rub it into the scuff....just a tiny bit, then buff it all away with a clean towel....all should be back to the way it looked before.....I hope this helps.
and for cleaning leather....I have heard that an easy at home way to clean it is to use some face wash....like neutrogena, mild enough, but gets down in there.

It chocolate brown. Will the shoe polish not come off on your clothes?
you are going to rub it in so good , and wipe it off alot!!! so no it wont come off on your clothes.....rub it in....then rub it off a bunch! and keep using clean parts of your cloth...you are trying to dye the scuff.
Cleaning and repair tips .. I love this forum :)

My tip would be sit on the scuff .. hide it with my bum :) :)
hahhaha Jojo, I am a woman full of info!! hahah dogs, home decor items, crafts....lol. but your method seems wonderful to me....or better....sit a cockapoo on it!
