Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice from other Cockapoo owners who may have had this condition and what they did about it.
Our breeder is saying we should leave puppy alone as otherwise healthy and the teeth will correct themselves when milk teeth go and our vet is saying they should operate to ensure new teeth come in straight and prevent any future discomfort. We have a small window of time to make our decision.

I am at odds as to what to do with conflicting advice and would love to hear from any other owners who have been through this with their puppies.

Thank you

Hi VF and welcome, I guess it depends where the displaced teeth are ,if they are causing discomfort and how they will effect the incoming teeth. I would be guided by your vet who has seen them .
I had a problem with retained back teeth in a previous puppy, they were not causing pain and we decided to leave them until spaying around 9 months (to avoid more than one anaesthetic) but with the help of some chews they fell out on their own.

Thank you for responding. We just had our puppy to another vet for a second opinion, who has recommended the same operation and pointed out that our puppy will almost certainly have discomfort even if not showing any signs, so we have decided to go ahead with the operation.
