Hello all!

After a long search to find a dog breed that would suit our family we eventually came across the cockapoo!! Since then I feel like I have done nothing but read, talk, eat, think and dream cockapoo... I think I am probably driving my family mad, but luckily they are being polite and not telling me so!!!

The more I find out about these amazing pups the more impatient I get to find one haha.... Should we be phoning for the men in white coats yet or is this totally normal??

We made the decision about a month back that early next year we will be ready... Hubby gave the go ahead.. Woop woop.. :D I thought that would be the hard part; however it was more then the minefield of english/ american, toy/miniature, then the worry of finding the right breeder for us without a waiting list as long as santas shopping list!!!

Eventually yesterday I think we found our breeder!! She has a litter due over the next two weeks and we are second on her list for a little girl pup!! Just keeping everything crossed that the litter is healthy and there is at least two girls within it!!

However I am the worlds most impatient person, so suspect this will be the longet ten weeks of my life!! :p Hehe xx

Hello :)

Funny how once you make a decision you can't get them out of your head :D
We were exactly the same, took a year of deciding and then when we finally took the plunge we just couldn't wait! Luckily we had chosen a breeder equally passionate about the pups and so indulged us with cute little photos too ooh and ahh at :)

What cross have you gone for and do you have any idea on colour?

It has been so difficult to choose as all the different variations and colours are so gorgeous in their own right... I think I changed my mind about three times before deciding we would like an English show with miniature poodle... We are looking for one of the paler colours apricot / cream, although sure I will regret that once out in the muddy fields

Hubby laughed the other day tho as I said "for our first pup we will go apricot, but the next one would like chocolate!!" haha... So addictive and havent even got one yet! :D

I love that you're planning the second before the first has even come home! Haha :)
We have a cream/apricot girl & yes she does get mucky, but she's gorgeous! At the end of the day even the darker coloured ones get mucky, you just can't see if as much so, it has pluses & minuses :) x

Haha yep even better! So you should have your pup in around 11 weeks, I bet you'r so excited! Is she a working or show cocker mix?
She will be from show cocker mum and a gorgeous miniature cream poodle dad :)

It is my birthday on the 28th, so thinking how spooky it will be if the litter is born then!! Haha.. Although would rather they arrive sooner a that means we will get her home quicker

For now I am enjoying writing out my xmas list for hubby.... Just been drooling over the aeolus blaster dryer thingy mbobs ;)

Helen, it doesn't get any better! Only my daughter doesn't roll her eyes at me
My hubby just assumes that anyone I talk about is from ILMC now, unless I tell him otherwise and he has mentioned more than once that I don't talk to him about anything that's not Poo related! Enjoy your waiting time - and get lots of sleep!

Well I have got five of them to talk the legs off, so fingers crossed there will always be someone who is willing to listen!! ;)
I just love seeing how friendly everyone is on here and how you are all sohelpful... Have learnt so much already!
Luckily I dont do sleep... Its far too over-rated!! :D. Just hoping pups will keep me company next year when my little girl goes to playgroup.... My third born started playgroup last week, and it hit me like a sledge-hammer how quiet the house will be next year with them all out at school and playgroup.... So decided to finally get the pup I have wanted for years!! :)

Here is my Archie, he is apricot and sooooo lovely. He is 6 months old now,i was like you absolutely obsessed with them before i got him.

Ahhh bless Archie, he is absolutely gorgeous!! Have you caught the bug for wanting more, or will you just stick with the one?? :). Cant wait to see what colours come out of the litter.. The breeder believes they will all be creams/apricots, so fingers crossed! Where did you get Archie from?

The paler colours are not as bad as I thought. Biscuit's creamy white/apricot and I find he stays really clean looking. It does just seem to brush out and he licks his paws a lot.
I am glad you said that.. Was beginning to doubt my decission after reding a few posts on here about the paler colours and dirt!! Although like has been said before better spotting on pups before the dirt reaches the furniture
Cant wait for evening cuddles and brushes!! Used to own a miniature schnauzer and did all the grooming myself, so cant wait to get back into it!
