Just to say we've changed the date. There is some tree felling going on, on the original date, so thought we'd better give it a wide berth.

We are having a little mini meet on Weds 7 March at 10am in Rothampstead Park, Harpenden. All are welcome.

Coming along so far is:

Clare and Obi (Jedicrazy)
Julie and Millie (MillieDog)
Janet and Lolly (Flounder1)
Jane and Poppy (JR1)

Shame the date had to be changed as I was hoping to come along tomorrow (Tuesday) and I can't make Wednesdays. I have Rocky, who is a 5 month old black and white cockapoo scruff! (we met Lolly and her owner in Greenwood Park last week). Hope I can make the next meet. Kate

Ah that's a shame Kate. We'll plan another one for maybe a Thursday or a Friday? Does either these days work better for people?

Kate, I walk Rothampstead most days so if you fancy popping over one day for a walk then let me know. I can't do tomorrow now though as have to go to a class assembly at DDs nursery school.

Hi Kate
Glad you remembered Lolly and I as I never got your username on here so couldn't find you. I'm happy to get together for a walk any Tuesday you're free. I work Mondays and fridays so am free for the middle of the week.

Ah sorry Kate, I didn't realise. We can always plan more walks. Where do you normally walk Rocky.

I do a variety of walks just to vary things, Verulam Park is my de-fault walk, otherwise Greenwood, Rothampstead, Clarence Park, Cassiobury, Trent Park, Nomans Land.

I like to get about and always on the look out for new places. :D

Thanks everyone. I can do Thursdays or Friday's for another meet next time you are planning one. Also I told my friend Sue who has Teddy (2 year old apricot dog) and she might join you next Wed but don't think she is on this forum. I usually walk Greenwood Park, Verulamium Park, the fields out back of Verulam estate where I live, Heartwood Forest or the gravel Pits at park street and will definitely try to contact some of you for a meet sometime. I do love my cockapoo but I wish he would stop jumping up at people. he just loves to be on two legs!

Oh sounds good. I know exactly where you mean. Is that the new road they built near Tara's retreat.

Think we may have to venture over one day soon. I've never walked round that bit. Touched on Nomansland, but don't fully have my bearings round there.

As long as this tummy bug leaves me by tomorrow I am good to go. My son has been off sick since Thursday and we all got t at the weekend. Poor Poppy is climbing the walls in frustration of a good run! Is there only one parking area to look out for? I have never been to the ark before. Do. Need change for a ticket machine?

Yep just one parking area and it's free. Looking forward to meeting you and Poppy :)

Just looked up the park online and it said to oark in Amenbury Lane NCP. Do you know if the free car oark you mentioned is in Leyton Road?

Looking forward to meeting you too!

J.
No, don't park there. You need to follow the sign for the Rothampsted Research Centre (3rd left left turn, called West Common) after the Redbourn roundabout. Cross over the cross roads and drive through the business park. you will see a playing field on the left and free parking on the right. If you search earlier on this thread you'll see there is a post code for the SATNAV.
