My other dog has been doing some scentwork and the club I go to had a fun day so I decided as Molly had recently shown more interest she could have a go at the pre-level 1 fun trial. She worked beautifully, found all four of the hidden scents and won a rosette for third place.

Not bad for an 11 and a half year old having her first try!

She spent a very long time having no interest in learning scent at all, skipped all the early training stages and when I was making it harder for my other more experienced girl she started gate crashing the training sessions to find the scent quicker than her.

I was so pleased with her - she worked really well - next step is to enter a real scent trial!
