Morning playtime

I can't say I like getting up at 6.30 every morning, but now that Ciara's back at school and I have to be up any way it's much easier! I get up, let the doggies out, make a cup of tea (in bed for Ciara and my hubby) and this morning, I retreated to the sitting room, feeling very tired as I've had a hectic couple of weeks cooking again, and I can afford a lazier morning.
The girls are so pleased to be with one another (Izzy is in her crate overnight) and have an excited playtime. It really is such a joy to watch :) Today involved a blue ball, which Izzy leapt on and took to Phoebe, who was holding it in her mouth, with her head held high to stop Izzy reaching. Izzy gave up trying to get it after a while, went to get another toy from the toybox, which she waved around in front of Phoebe until Phoebe dropped the ball, then Izzy swiped the ball and ran :D
Izzy has grown so tall, she can no longer run under Phoebe's tummy, but still tries
I have tried in vain to photograph their antics, I'll try to post a video if I can work out how to get it from my phone :)
After playtime, it's breakfast, then a cuddle up with mummy
:ilmc: and I love lazy mornings ;)

Would love to see a video of your doggies playing Ali.

Bess and Maisie have mega playtime after breakfast at 7:30am. They are like two toddlers, homing in on the same toy, same kong or wanting to sit next to me in the same place! ... even if I offer 2 kongs they still want the same one!! Bess usually wins as she is more persistent.

They love their morning walks, then rest. The routine will change as I go back to school next week, albeit only 2 days a week. I will have to get up really early and do a short walk before leaving as dog walker doesn't arrive till late morning.

BTW, Bess now sleeps on the sofa in the kitchen with Maisie and is much happier there ... they are very good at night. Maisie looked a bit put out at first having to share but now they snuggle up happily together. :)

That sounds so lovely! I have hopes that Chip will eventually stop trying to bite Henry all the time as their playtime so Henry will then stop trying to trounce Chip. Age will help, I know. Chip gets up early too, but I have to get up for the kids to get to school as well.

So glad to see everyone enjoying their Cockapoos. I myself am thrilled we got another dog, and that we made it a cockapoo!

We agree Ali we love just sitting and watching them play:):) we take them in a field over the back of our place and there is some really long grass and to watch them fly around and then duck down and hide from each other provides us with so much entertainment. I to have tried to photograph this but just seem to end up with pictures of grass:( but I will keep trying;)

This sounds so familiar ... biting ears, legs, etc. I'm hoping Bess will grow out of this too. She's quite ameniable to being redirected to biting on a toy instead .. but I'm having to do quite a lot of that!!
Sounds like everyone is having a lovely morning enjoying the playfulness of their adorable cockapoo's  :twothumbs:

Took Millie for a lovely walk around Verulam Park and she met a lovely Wheaten Terrier, who I must admit looks like a large cockapoo and played like one too :D

Millie is now in the garden enjoying a fresh bone, yummy :) :D

Rufus and Basil play beautifully too .......most of the time! Rufus can be so gentle but the play can build and build to a point where I sometimes intervene and enforce a time out! Basil is, without a doubt, holding his own (just as Stephen said he would) - which is great. Lots of Cockapoo fun in our house!
