My poos are in bad books at the moment. They think it's hilarious to get to the front door first when the postman comes and they try and outdo each other in shredding my post. Some really quite important things have been destroyed including some theatre tickets and notes to say I have a parcel waiting! They have never been destructive dogs and haven't really chewed anything much other than their own chews and bones.
Dexter will race round the house with my letters in his mouth refusing to let them go, although Bonnie is such a good little girl she will give them up straight away!
Does anyone have any ideas other than shutting them up in their crates permanently?!

Put one of those wire boxes inside the letter box?

You could either get a letter box put on the outside of the house then just unlock it and get your post,i think Argos sell them or you can buy a cage that you attach to the inside of your letter box,they are also in Argos i think. I got a post box put up on my outside wall when my Springer spaniel used to do the same thing. Hope this helps.

Tess Arthur does the same - its a race to the door some days!! All I can suggest is an wall mounted letter box outside or as Ann suggests a wire basket on the inside

We bought a wire box for the inside of the front door for this very reason .... I don't really like them but it's better than shredded post!

We had to get a wire cage to catch the post as Rascal is also a shredder !
