Hi - We are first dog owner and we are lucky enough to have picked maxwell, who is everything we had hoped he would be:) We have had him since September and would not be without him. We are going on our first holiday together to the Lakes next week and I must admit I cannot wait. Cockapoo's really are a great breed but do have the tendancy to be deaf when they do not want to do something (a male thing) but excellent hearing when we open the fridge :)

welcome! haha that's so right. frank is always conveniently deaf when he's going somewhere/doing something he shouldn't, but as soon as we squeeze his favourite squeaky toy he's there! mischievous things.
hope your holiday goes well and maxwell loves his time away. what colour is he? have you got a pic you can post? xxx

That's really funny. I was just having a paranoid mum moment earlier, thinking that maybe Rosie has hearing problems, but now you mention it, she started barking and howling before my feet hit the bedroom floor this morning (she sleeps in her crate downstairs!) so I think she has the same thing!
He is a tan and chocolate brown we have 100's of pics and I will try to download, but not too good at IT.

What colour is frank and how old ?
I know what you mean about being paranoid, I am a nightmare! It drives my husband nuts. If he stratches his ear I worry about mites, if he doesn't eat his food etc the list goes on. Although the longer we have him the more I relax, I guess it is just because you want him to be happy.

Max also sleeps in a crate downstairs although not every night :)

That's so funny - my son is called Max and the other week I walked into the kitchen and found this - he'd even shut the door himself!

I'm very jealous - that's my favourite place in the whole world. We are hoping to take Dylan there later in the year. Where are you staying?

Thanks for all your replies I am rubbish on the computer as you can see by me using my dogs name as my user name so it may take a while for pictures to be posted. We are staying in ambleside as we went there last year on the way to pick up Max and so we know it is dog friendly:)
Love Ambleside - one of my favourite parts. I usually stay in that area too. Have a great time and let me know if you find any good dog-friendly cottages or places.
