I popped into Natural Instinct yesterday, down in Guildford. Had a great chat with one of the women there. I asked if they could consider doing a fish flavoured one, as Millie is such a fuss pot yet always likes fish.

Lo and behold, she said they now do Salmon and have been for 2 weeks. Its Working Salmon so I think it has to be given for adults dogs.

I've given it to Millie tonight, I thought she'd woof it down, but I guess a mix of exhausted from a long walk and my neighbour giving her a bowl of milk  she wasn't immediately hungry. But she has now eaten it, so I'm pleased.

Out of interest, is milk ok for dogs? I've never even thought about offering it.

Milk can give a funny tummy to dogs. my girls get a splash of milk their raw egg but it less than a tabkespoon. dogs are ment.to be lactose intoerent thats why its ment to be goats milk they get.

Betty has been on this for the past week, she wolfs it down but then she eats anything. I even add a good helping of spinach to it ( yuk) and she still gobbles the whole lot down.
The shop is ten mins from where I live Julie, you should pop in for a cuppa next time!

Ps. It does give her fish breath for a while after...just something to bear in mind!

Pps. Some dogs can be allergic to dairy products in general.

Oh fab. Pushca would eat the bowl after NI so I could add sprouts to it and she'd eat it but great to hear salmon flavour. I give Pushca tinned mackerel or kippers occasionally and cooked salmon. I never give her milk but may try the goats milk as I drink that anyway
:D

They now have working duck as well.
I have visions of duck rounding up sheep :)

They didn't mention duck to me, I'll have to ask next time.

My neighbour keeps giving Millie food, they're saving part of their dinner and giving it to her when she goes visiting - which strangley she loves to do :) I can't complain they treat her like a their grandchild and are fantastic help. I just have to counteract the human delights and try and get her NI food into her, which is proving a little tricky sometimes.
