Just wanted to introduce my family and I to the forum. My wife and I have two cockapoos (brothers) that I bought her for her birthday/our 2 year anniversary gift. Their names are Stitch and Figment.....both buff in color although Stitch was much redder when we first got him. They were born 03/09/10 so are nearing 10 months old right now, they were about 8 weeks old when we got them. My wife is currently pregnant with twins and her due date is a couple weeks after the puppies 1st birthday. We recently came across this forum during one of our many cockapoo searches online for information. Here's a few photos of them during the first few weeks we had them. Too many to choose from, so here's the first 4 photos my wife picked to post:
1st - Wife holding them when we first met them
2nd - Playing with first toy at home
3rd - Stitch in his pen
4th - Figment in his pen

lovey photos, they are very curly for so young what generation are they.

how are they getting on, siblings can suffer bad separation anxiety or have big fights not always a good idea to get two puppys at the same time. but some people are realy lucky and have no problems.

do you have any photos of them now.

They are doing very well together. They never fight but instead are very playful with each other and like to wrestle around alot. They will play with toys or have time apart but typically are always in the same room so they can see one another. Although they love each other they also love being with people just as much. It's funny because when someone first comes in the house you can actually notice they are fighting for the attention by pushing each other out of the way to try and give the most kisses and get closer to the person. They have become more affectionate and like cuddling with people more now that they have gotten older. We do notice the separation anxiety when they are apart. I've had to go to the vet twice with just Figment.....and my Wife said that Stitch was crying nonstop while we were gone. We recently had them neutered and the vet said though it was cute they had to put them together because they were howling in unison when they were in separate cages at other ends of the room. They are 1st generation cockapoos and here's a few current photos of them.
1st - Still earlier months, waiting for food
2nd - One of Figments vet visits without Stitch
3rd - About 5 months old
4th - Stitch after his first haircut
5th - Stitch winking at the camera

thank you all for the compliments embee, kendal, strangeland, parapluie and wilfiboy :) All in all, they are very good boys. I will have to get my husband to post pics of their visit with santa, first christmas and first snow outing!! Since I am now out of work until the twins arrive,i will be keeping busy on this forum.

The boys names Stitch and Figment came from our two favorite disney characters. We are huge Disney Fans and can wait to road trip with both the pups and the babies the summer of 2012!

Wilfi- the twins could be born on the same day, def a possibility...I think it is very ironic that we purchased our first dogs and got two of them in may and got pregnant with two babies(our firsts) in july...we kept joking about having twins too...i am pregnant with a boy and a girl :) And i know even though its going to be MUCH different and WAY harder, i think the skills it took raising two pups at once will help us a little bit (at least I hope so)

Happy New Year!

yes kendal- Their names will be Sadie Mae O'Sullivan & Aiden Michael O'Sullivan.

I'm very excited for our family to turn from 4 to 6! Everything is happening so fast, we just moved into our new home last january, then got the pups in may and now will have the twins in march :) It's exciting times.

The pups are great with my 7 year old niece and any other young children they come encounter with. I plan on having my husband bring home blankets with the babies scent before they come home from the hospital so the pups are used to the scent. I'm also already planning on rotating grandmom's to watch my furry babies when we are at the hospital, I don't want them to feel any less important, after all they are my kids too :) they just are furrier than most :)

lol just a thought. my mum had mt wee brother when i was 2 and a half she said that she didn't want me to feel put out so she got me a toy casset player and rapped it up and popped it under his crib in the hospital, so when my dad brought me in and i met him my mum could tell me that my new little brother bought me a present. lol ot worked and i always wanted to help feed, change and dress him.

lol wont be exactly the same but might be a good idea to get a new to for them or a treat, kinda like saying when they baby come home good thing happen. just an idea, it might also mean that they will go off and play letting you settle the twins in at home.

lol we will also want baby photos so we can all coo over them. oh and love the names, are the significant to you. my dads name was Kenny and i was the first born so mum wanted something connected to my dad, my middle name Mitchell is my mums Madden name and my brother Haig is our dads mums Madden name Ramsey. my little half brother Innes has his dads mums Madden name Grosart

Hi Christine and Mike, wow, congratulations on your twin pups and your expected twin babies! I'm sure that it will be a big help to you having had the pups to look after. Lovely boys. :D
Kendal - my hubby is a Ramsay, surname goes back to his great great grandfather, and each generation since has had someone with the name as a middle name, until hubby was given it as first name. We've kept it going , my eldest, Calum has it as 2nd name.
