Newbie's - JD pup expect Christmas time (ish!)

Hello!

We have been looking around this brilliant forum now for a few weeks and we thought it was probably best to say :wave: to everybody and introduce ourselves. Already found this a very interesting and informative site.

Im Ian and I have my Fiancee Samantha. We are currently waiting for our house to be completed which is expected to be around October / November time (I have lots of pics if anybody is interested, fantasic builder...) and Samantha is due to start her graduate job within the next few weeks. We have our wedding planned for Decemeber 2012 so its a busy and exciting time for us!

We formed the decision to have a dog ever since we met really and quickly came fond of the cockapoo after doing lots of research into what dog would be the best for us. Well all the research paid off and a few weeks ago we went to meet Julie & Stephen and Jukeedoodles. Subsequently we left adament we would be having a Cockapoo and it would be from them being so impressed by the whole set up. By the end of the night we had sent out deposit to them to secure a puppy from a future litter (praying for christmas time!).

I work shift patterns so our new little Cockapoo - to be called Melvin - will not be on his own for very long if at all. We will be living opposite a sizeable field and lake so we can take him on pleantly of walks. I think we are both just as excited about getting Melvin as much as the house!

Well, thats us in a nut shell. We hope to meet some of you guys on here at some point and will contribute to the forum if we can.

Welcome to the Group! can't wait to see pics of Melvin in the Future, You are kinda like me, I got married January 2010, got the house in june then got the dog in november, and yup I was as excited to get Lady as I was the house!

Welcome to you both. It all sounds like a really exciting time for you topped off by a cockapoo puppy, what a fab year. Have you a specific colur in mind that you're hoping Melvin might be.....between you and me I think Muffin looks delicous but dont tell anyone I said so x

We are getting our first Cockapoo from Jukee Doodles also, we are collecting him on Monday 8th and are so excited! xx

Ah sounds similar to us! I thought it may be better to get him whilst the house is relatively empty, however we have ordered sofas, hoarding a dining room table in a relatives garage and taking over a bedroom of anothers for our 'bottom draw', first puppy purchase to be added to this in the week i think!

Yeh at the minute we are looking for a blonde / party blonde but I was quite taken with Buzz - but its about the pups personality mainly, we want quite a lively little lad as we are usually out walking! Samantha is pritty set on a party blonde colour so - i suspect thats what we shall be having...

:welcome: Ian and Samantha. I have a wee JD blonde parti girl from Lilly x Ziggy, we brought her home on Monday and she is simply perfect.

Samantha is pritty set on a party blonde colour so - i suspect thats what we shall be having...

We are over Mansfield way close to J28 of the M1 and often go walking around Clumber Park which is only around 20 minutes away from us if you know it? really nice around the lake. How is Buddy doing, did he settle in well?

We love Clumber Park and that was where we saw and met Cockapoos and now we have our own

We could have a Cockerpoo meet at Clumber Park as we are only down the road from there in Hucknall.

That would be really good however we would have to wait for our Cockapoo first, but would be happy to come along and meet people. Would be good to do regular meets there possibly, a group Cockapoo training class maybe?! :laugh: That would be a good laugh if not productive!

Thanks everyone again, im sure we have. I was amazed by them not casting at all, I was slightly doubtful untill we went to Jukeedoodles. We have Buzz and the rest of the dogs on our lap, fussing around and not a single hair on my jeans. Really good for us.
