Hi my name is Angela, I'm not lucky enough to own a beautiful cockapoo yet. We have moved to the country and are preparing our garden making it safe for our young children and hopefully a puppy. We used to have and breed Flatcoat retrievers. I am desperatley looking for a breeder in scotland, I've done loads of reaserch on the bread and a friend has a gorgeous male one he got as a gift. I'm sure there is one in or around aberdeen & I'm not far away in Montrose. Please can anyone help?

hi Lins
thanks for your post, yes it looks like this beautiful breed is only just filltering across the border into scotland, I'm sure that's not the case and there are plenty lucky owners in this neck of the woods. It's just hard to finder a breader that dosn't live a million miles from me. However I know the right puppy would be worth travelling for.

My partner and I choose a breeder 3 hours away - but they were the right breeders for us and I think it'd important to find a breeder you feel confident with.

Good luck with the puppy hunt!

Hi Angela, there are not a huge number of cockapoos up here, and very few breeders. Some members here have bought their pups from breeders in Scotland, most have travelled further afield. Mandym on here is in Aberdeen and has occasional litters. I travelled down to Lincolnshire for Izzy - 5 1/2 hour trip. My advice would be to find a breeder you like, and not worry about the distance - you will have your dog for a lot of years, a day or two spent travelling visiting/choosing/collecting your pup is nothing. Good luck with your search :)
