hi we have a 11 week old cockapoo dog who during the night sleeps in his crate in the kitchen / conservatory he sleeps from about 10 30 until about 6 and we dont hear him during the night apart from the odd occasion but he soon settles
but he is still doing toilets on the floor during the night (puppy pad mostly) during the day he lets us know when he wants out to do toilets i am just wanting advice on how to or when they stop doing toilets during the night
he sleeps in crate with door open on the advice of our vet his last feed is about 6 pm and we take his water up at about 8 ish
any advice or tips would be great cheers from barney

It may be because he has a place to go. You could try closing the door of the crate, puppies don't usually soil their beds and he may learn to hang on, if the crate is large your could partition it off so it's just big enough for his bed. It could also be that he's still very young, they all get dry at night at different stages. Take a look at cockapoo club of gb for more info :)

He is a puppy and will still need out at night.

there isnt much point in using the crate if your leavimg the door open. if you close it he should learn quiquicker to hold it over night. but i would still get up in the middle of the might to let him out for a pee. Atleast for a week or two. he will cry to let you know he needs out.

He is still pretty young to go all night clean. I would be happy he is using the puppy pads and give him some more time.

At that age if you were going to shut him in a crate overnight Id be setting an alarm to get up throught the night and toilet him. You then set it a little later each night until he goes all night.

Im too lazy for that and will let mine use paper overnight until they are a bit older and Im sure they can cope with holding all night.

My pup went all night at 11 weeks and does not ask to go out at night. I don't think 11weeks is too young really depends on the pup. Milo barks at 7.30am! It's easiest to keep the way things are. Barnie will eventually stop using the pads at night. If u don't mind waking up at night mabe for a week till Barnie settles, u can close the crate door.

Every pup is individual and will eventually be dry and clean in time. Personally I let Hattie out when I get up for a comfort break can almost do it in my sleep. Would not expect her to hold on all night even though she is 14 weeks now. We both then return to our respective beds(!) and sleep until around 6. I would get pretty stressed if I wanted the loo but could not get out to go! I know for sure it wouldn't make me hang on till morning.
