Hi Everyone

I am struggling to get Rudi to eat - she is on Barking Heads and doesnt eat much at all - she usually grazes which i have tried to avoid by giving her strict meal times but she just looks at it and walks away- I have added Probiotic yoghurt and also sometimes some water to soften incase she is struggling with her teeth (gaps in gums say teething) but nothing is working. She is still active and drinking plenty of water - she is enjoying her treats i give her (such as a frozen chicken wing and dental sticks)
What should i do?? do I need to change food or add something else??

You could try natural instinct raw diet. I know many on here swear by it. If she is happy to chew on her chicken wings this could be the answer.
The hot weather can cause many dogs appetite to drop so Rudi may pick up again when the hot spell is over?

Lola can be like this, she often eats her dry ok but not as fast as the other two. She does wolf down raw though- especially tripe and fish!!
The past couple of days i have chucked her dry down (i use it for convenience sometimes) and she has left it all day. Hence why she will be getting raw tonight (spoiled? Nah!!)

I think the heat can put them off sometimes but if you are considering changing things, nature diet wet food or raw could be an option- i use all 3. Try giving dry for brekkie and wet for tea? :)

Vincent is the same, although we were at a BBQ on Sunday where he did eat a lot of burgers!! Yesterday my boyfriend said he didn't even touch his food. But at training he was happy to do anything for a treat!!

My Scout is the same. Turns her nose up at her dry food, I've tried all the brands out there. She is desperate to get at the cats' food, and devours any bread the birds drop or food under the kids' tea table.
I'm reluctant to start her on wet food, TBH, for teeth and convenience and health, and the thought of the raw food makes me hurl!

Bertie's been a little terra with his food! We've tried loads of different brands, mostly dry food and we've come to the conclusion he just doesn't like it (well that's my interpretation of it and to be honest, I don't blame him) He's now on Burns Penlam Farm wet food (chicken, brown rice and veg) and touch wood he's loving it which is really great to see :D I'm just keeping everthing crossed that he continues to like it as I've just ordered 3 boxes of the stuff!

Awww she used to love it so much though - she is a little better - last night she ate it all after puppy classes so may have been the heat ... I will keep an eye on her - I don't think I could do the raw diet and also my freezer is tiny and so would be constantly going shopping haha :) I have also notice a few teeth coming through so think they must have been hurting her xxx

I cracked it today...Scout was bouncing up and down at the stairgate trying to get at the cat food and I stirred a teaspoon of the jelly from their tin into the hot water I put on her food and mixed it well in and she wolfed the lot. I think I will buy a couple of tins of dog food and do the same, it was only a teaspoon but just enough to pick up the flavour in the 'gravy'!
